The Christie 177-102104-01 is the 66 mm right-eye Infitec 3D filter for the Christie Sapphire 4K40-RGBH Intelligent Filter Holder (IFH). Fitted to the second projector in a dual-projector pair, it delivers the right-eye image for Infitec color-comb passive 3D. Typical deployments include dark rides, attractions, visualization walls and immersive 3D theaters.
How does the Christie 177-102104-01 work?
Infitec color comb 3D splits the two eye images by wavelength. Each projector carries a different spectral filter, and viewers wear Infitec glasses that pass only the matching wavelengths to each eye. Because no polarization is involved, the system runs on standard gain screens, rear-projection surfaces and other non-silver screens.
When the right-eye filter is installed in the Christie Sapphire 4K40-RGBH (or the TAA-compliant Sapphire), the projector recognizes the filter type and automatically configures itself for right-eye applications. Christie states Sapphire's Infitec solution gives better light efficiency and a broader color gamut than traditional laser phosphor and lamp-based 3D.
Pair it with left-eye filter 177-101103-01 in the companion projector. Glasses are purchased separately from Infitec. After a first install of a filter type, Christie recommends a Hawkeye sensor-to-screen calibration; Sapphire then stores that LiteLOC calibration by filter type and line voltage.
