The Chief CMA385 is an internal joist mount that bridges ceiling joists to provide a structural anchor point for a suspended AV mount. Product Description
The CMA385 gives installers a secure way to mount a suspended AV column where there is no single beam directly above the desired location. The bracket expands to bridge ceiling joists on 16" to 23" centers, distributing the load across two joists. Its adjustable clamping design includes a threaded fitting that accepts a 1.5" NPT threaded extension column, so it transitions cleanly from the structure to the vertical column that carries the mount. This makes it a reliable anchor for ceiling-mounted projectors and displays in conference room, training room, and commercial meeting space installations.
