The column uses 1.5-inch NPT threading on both ends and ships in a black finish.

The CMS018 saves installation time and maximizes security in suspended AV deployments by providing a rigid, fixed-length column rather than an adjustable telescoping assembly. The aluminum construction combines easy handling with the strength needed to carry projector and display loads at the ceiling. Flow-through cable management with a dedicated cable exit port routes power and signal cabling inside the column for a clean, finished appearance. Because the 1.5-inch NPT column is threaded on both ends, it connects directly to any Chief 1.5-inch NPT ceiling plate, coupler, or mount accessory, giving integrators a modular way to build the exact drop height a room requires. The fixed length removes the adjustment hardware that can loosen over time, which improves long-term security in high-traffic public spaces.
