Product Overview
The Chief CMS012 is a 12-inch fixed extension column for suspended projector and display mounts in commercial AV installations. Machined from aluminum with 1.5-inch NPT threads on both ends, it drops a ceiling-mounted device to a precise, secure height. Flow-through cable management routes wiring inside the column and out a dedicated exit port for a clean look. It pairs with any Chief 1.5-inch NPT ceiling plate or compatible accessory.
Product Description
The CMS012 fixed pipe is a 12-inch aluminum extension column used to set the drop height of a ceiling-mounted projector or flat panel. Both ends carry 1.5-inch NPT threading, so the column connects to a Chief ceiling plate on one end and a projector or display mount on the other. The aluminum construction keeps weight down while maintaining the strength needed for secure overhead support. Cabling runs through the column and exits a built-in cable port, keeping power and signal lines concealed. Fixed columns like the CMS012 save installation time compared to field-cut pipe and provide a repeatable, secure drop. The column works across conference room, classroom, auditorium, and digital signage projector deployments. It is TAA compliant for government and procurement-sensitive projects. Combine it with Chief ceiling plates and couplers from the full Chief collection to build a complete suspension system.
