Product Overview
The Chief CPA072 is a 72-inch black extension column from Chief's CPA column system, used to drop a projector from a ceiling plate. It is built for commercial AV projector installations in spaces with high ceilings. The column features a dual-pin connection, cable pass-through, and a field-adjustable design that can be cut, re-drilled, or threaded to 1.5-inch NPT. It pairs with Chief CPA and standard ceiling plates.
Product Description
Chief's CPA column system hosts many installation-inspired features along with an aesthetic finish, and is available in black and silver. The CPA072 connects using a dual-pin connection: two thread-forming screws fasten at each column end into factory pre-drilled holes, and because the fasteners do not pass completely through the center, the column retains a clear cable pass-through. The column offers flexible inventory handling because it can be cut to length, re-drilled, and even threaded to 1.5-inch NPT to suit a specific installation. Grooves in the outer surface provide an aesthetic appearance and double as drill guides. It is compatible with dedicated pin-connection CPA ceiling plates as well as all Chief ceiling plates using CPA261 and CPA262 adapters. The column ships in pre-cut lengths with three pre-drilled through holes at each end and is TAA compliant. As a Chief commercial-grade column, professional installation is recommended.
