The CMS491P2 hides projectors, switchers, and other AV components out of sight above a ceiling tile while keeping them fully serviceable. A drop carriage door improves accessibility and serviceability by exposing the full interior. The detachable power housing can be pre-installed by electricians on site and assembled to the storage box later, simplifying trade coordination. It accepts up to two single-gang or one dual-gang outlet, with four nested knockouts for 1-1/4 inch, 1 inch, and 0.5 inch conduit, installed inside the box or facing the room. Built-in ventilation manages heat from active equipment, and the AV tray supports a variety of components, shipping with one shelf (a second, CMSUNV1, sold separately). Overall weight capacity is 100 pounds, with up to 50 pounds for a projector ceiling plate and 25 pounds per shelf location. The included surge and filter module delivers non-sacrificial, multi-stage protection with an LED power indicator.
