Product Overview
The Chief CMS440 ceiling plate is a suspended ceiling tile kit that speeds and secures installation of lightweight front projectors. It is built for classrooms, training rooms, conference rooms, and multi-purpose rooms with standard drop-tile ceilings. The kit combines a quick cable suspension system, a tile-cutting tool, and security hardware in one package. It accepts the standard 1.5-inch NPT interface used across the Chief ceiling mount line.
Product Description
The CMS440 brings together a set of features that make suspended-ceiling projector installs faster and more secure. Its WireVice cable suspension system allows quick tie-off without specialized tools, while the included TwisTile ceiling tile cutter pierces a clean circular hole in the tile for the extension column. The single-slot plate provides flexible column placement anywhere within a 2 x 2 foot or 2 x 4 foot ceiling tile, so the projector can be centered on the screen rather than the grid. Single and dual electrical outlet cutouts support power delivery at the mount. Chief's All-Points Security System adds exclusive locking hardware at the column connection point to protect against theft in open rooms. The kit fits 24-inch (600 mm) wide ceiling tile grids and is 1.5-inch NPT compatible. For built-in surge and signal filtering, Chief also offers the CMS440P2 ceiling kit.
