Its adjustable, low-profile design gives integrators flexible placement above finished ceilings. Product Description
Ceiling installations rarely line up perfectly with a single joist, and the Chief CMS394 dual joist ceiling adapter is designed to solve that with placement flexibility. It spans 16-inch or 24-inch on-center joist spacing and includes built-in lateral shift, so an installer can position the column precisely rather than being locked to a fixed point. The low-profile, aesthetic design keeps the mounting plate visually clean in finished commercial spaces. Integrated cable management routes cables up through a cable exit port at the top of the plate, supporting a tidy overhead installation. The plate is 1.5" NPT compatible, tying directly into standard Chief extension columns, and its aluminum construction keeps weight down while maintaining strength. Chief's All-Points Security System provides exclusive locking hardware at the column connection point to protect against theft, which is valuable in public and government spaces.
