Product Description

The CMS492 hides projectors, switchers, and other AV gear out of sight above a 2' x 2' ceiling tile, keeping rooms uncluttered while maintaining easy access for service. A detachable power housing can be pre-installed by electricians on site and assembled to the storage box later, streamlining coordination between trades. The housing accepts up to two single-gang or one dual-gang outlet, and four nested knockouts handle 1-1/4 inch, 1 inch, and 0.5 inch conduit, installed inside the box or facing the room. Built-in ventilation helps manage heat from active equipment. The AV tray supports a range of components and ships with one shelf; a second shelf (CMSUNV2) and 1 RU rack rail brackets (CMS1RU) are available separately. Overall weight capacity is 100 pounds, with up to 50 pounds for a projector ceiling plate and 25 pounds per shelf location. The enclosure ships with speed-connect installation hardware and is UL evaluated for use in air-handling spaces as defined by NEC Article 300.22, sub-clause (C).
