Product Overview
The ChamSys MagicQ MQ70 Compact Console is a small, lightweight lighting control console built for portable deployment in theatre, broadcast, and corporate production. This compact lighting console fits within the hand-luggage carry-on restrictions of major budget airlines, making it practical for travelling programmers and touring crews. It supports 24 universes direct from the console, expandable to 48, over Art-Net and sACN, with four assignable DMX ports supporting RDM. Silent, fanless operation makes the MQ70 well suited to theatres and quiet conference room or broadcast environments.
Product Description
The MQ70 is the compact end of the MagicQ console range, delivering the full MagicQ feature set in a 7kg fanless chassis. A high-resolution 10.1-inch multi-touch display with illuminated encoder and fader tracks gives programmers a clear, organised workspace, and an HDMI output supports an external monitor up to 1920x1200. The console provides 10 playbacks, a grand master fader, a crossfade master, and eight attribute encoders for hands-on control.

Three network ports provide Art-Net and sACN output direct from the console, while four assignable physical DMX outputs support RDM for fixture management over both DMX and network. Inbuilt Wi-Fi connects the MagicQ Remote focus application without external networking hardware. An inbuilt UPS protects both the console and its Ethernet switch in the event of a power failure, and the low 35W power draw with fanless cooling enables silent operation suited to theatrical and broadcast use.

Built-in MIDI input and output, LTC timecode input, and audio input provide synchronisation options for integration with show control and audio systems. Because the MQ70 runs the same MagicQ software as every other MagicQ console, shows programmed on it load and run on any other MagicQ console within the universe limits, simplifying AV system integration across a fleet.
