Product Overview
The ChamSys GeNetix GN8 is a straightforward Art-Net and sACN to DMX node built for both installed and live applications. It provides 8 RDM DMX output ports with configurable DMX timing and supports remote configuration from ChamSys consoles, its built-in web server, or the front-panel display. The node mounts in a truss via its M12 receiver or in a rack via its rack ears. It is mains powered through a powerCON TRUE1 input with a link-out for daisy-chaining power.
Product Description
The GeNetix GN8 is a cost-effective, reduced feature set DMX network node that converts Art-Net and sACN network data into 8 ports of physical DMX output. Each port supports RDM for remote device management, and DMX timings are fully configurable including refresh rate, break time, frame time, and MAB. The node supports Art-Net V1 through V4 and sACN with per-universe priorities. Lost data behaviour is configurable across three modes: hold last values, output nothing, or output zeroes on all channels.

Configuration is handled remotely from MagicQ and QuickQ consoles, through the built-in web server, or locally on the front-panel display and encoder, with a lock PIN to prevent unauthorised front-panel changes. When used with MagicQ consoles, the GN8 supports synchronised DMX output over ChamNet to reduce tearing. A single network port feeds the node, and a powerCON TRUE1 link out allows power to be passed to another device. A Kensington security lock fixing is provided. Note that the GN8 does not unlock demo mode on MagicQ PC systems.
