Product Overview
The ChamSys GeNetix GN2 is a compact two-port Ethernet-to-DMX node compatible with any console supporting Art-Net and sACN. It can also act as a USB interface for MagicQ PC systems, unlocking MagicQ into Core mode over USB-C or network. Both DMX ports support RDM and configure as input or output. The node is powered by PoE or USB-C and mounts standalone, on a truss via its M12 receiver, or on a DIN rail.
Product Description
The GeNetix GN2 is the smallest node in the GeNetix DMX node range, converting Art-Net and sACN network data into 2 ports of RDM DMX, each configurable as input or output. DMX timings are fully configurable, including refresh rate, break time, frame time, and MAB, and the node supports per-port merging across HTP, LTP, lowest IP, and highest IP modes. It stores user scenes recorded from incoming Art-Net or sACN data and supports DMX Fallback for redundancy, where fixtures are looped across two ports so a single broken cable does not interrupt the universe.

Configuration is handled locally on the front-panel display and encoder, remotely through the onboard web server, or from a ChamSys console. The GN2 is powered either over PoE on Port 1 or from its USB-C port. When connected to a MagicQ PC system over USB-C or network, it unlocks MagicQ into Core mode. A Kensington security lock fixing is provided, and the node ships with a DIN rail mount clip, USB A-C cable, screws, and quick start guide.
