Product Overview
The ChamSys GeNetix GN10 is a multipurpose DMX network node that distributes lighting data across Art-Net and sACN networks while adding Timecode, MIDI, and 10Scene support. It provides 10 fully configurable RDM DMX ports that operate as input, output, or fallback, plus dual network ports for PoE or mains power. The node is configured from ChamSys consoles, its built-in web server, or the front-panel display and encoder. It suits standalone, truss-mounted, and rack-mounted deployments.
Product Description
The GeNetix GN10 is a universal DMX-over-Ethernet interface that converts Art-Net and sACN network data to physical DMX output and back. Each of its 10 RDM DMX ports is independently configurable for DMX input, output, or fallback, with adjustable DMX timings including refresh rate, break time, frame time, and MAB. The node supports per-port merging across HTP, LTP, lowest IP, and highest IP modes, and stores up to 10 user scenes recorded from incoming Art-Net or sACN data. DMX Fallback connects fixtures in a loop across two ports so the rig keeps receiving data if a single cable breaks.

The GN10 carries LTC and MIDI ports that pass Timecode and MIDI notes to MagicQ systems over ChamNet, and it also supports Art-Net timecode. When connected to a MagicQ PC system over USB, the GN10 unlocks MagicQ PC Systems in Full Unlocked Mode and acts as a DMX, Timecode, MIDI, and 10Scene gateway. Used as an Art-Net or sACN node over the network, it unlocks up to 2 MagicQ instances. Power is supplied by PoE on Port 1 or via the Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 line input, and a Kensington security lock fixing helps secure the node in installations.

Key Features
- 10 RDM DMX Ports — Ten DMX ports support RDM and are individually configurable as input, output, or fallback.
- Art-Net and sACN — Supports Art-Net V1 to V4 and sACN with per-universe priorities.
- DMX Fallback — Loop fixtures across two ports so the universe keeps running if a cable fails.
- Per-Port Merging — HTP, LTP, lowest IP, and highest IP merge modes configurable per port.
- Timecode and MIDI — LTC and MIDI ports pass Timecode and MIDI notes to MagicQ over ChamNet.
- 10Scene Gateway — Acts as a 10Scene gateway with one dedicated 10Scene port.
- Scene Storage — Stores 10 user scenes recordable from incoming Art-Net or sACN data.
- Flexible Power — PoE on Port 1 or Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 mains input, 110 to 240 VAC.
- Multiple Configuration Methods — Configure from ChamSys consoles, the built-in web server, or the front-panel display and encoder.
- MagicQ Unlock — Full Unlocked Mode over USB, or up to 2 MagicQ instances over the network.
Typical Applications
- Concert and Touring Rigs — Truss-mounted DMX distribution with fallback redundancy for live production.
- Theatres — Timecode and MIDI integration where the source is remote from the console.
- Permanent Installations — Rack-mounted, Kensington-secured node with PoE power.
