Product Overview
The ChamSys GeNetix GD4IP is a compact IP65-rated 4-port DMX splitter built for outdoor and harsh-environment lighting rigs. It takes a single DMX input and distributes it across four DMX outputs, with an RDM Disable button to strip RDM data and retime the signal. Seetronic IP65 connectors and a Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 mains input keep water and dust out, while multiple rigging options make it easy to mount in the air or on truss. The rugged enclosure suits touring, exterior architectural, and weather-exposed installations.
Product Description
The GeNetix GD4IP is a weatherproof DMX splitter and signal booster engineered for installations where moisture and dust are a concern. Rated IP65, it splits one DMX universe into four isolated outputs, regenerating and retiming the DMX512 signal to maintain integrity over long cable runs and across large fixture counts. Per-port status LEDs give technicians at-a-glance confirmation of data activity on each output.

RDM E1.20 compliance allows remote device management data to pass through for fixture addressing and feedback, while the dedicated RDM Disable button removes RDM traffic and retimes the output for fixtures that require clean DMX. Seetronic IP65 5-pin connectors handle DMX input and output, and a top-mounted Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 connector supplies locking, weather-sealed mains power.

Rigging is flexible: an M12 threaded insert accepts standard clamps, and a built-in rail provides a secondary safety bond attachment point when the unit is flown. At 274 x 76 x 68 mm and 1.40 kg, the GD4IP draws a maximum of 7.0W. A powerCON TRUE1 power cable is included. This makes it a practical DMX distribution amplifier for outdoor concert stages, exterior architectural lighting, and any installation exposed to the elements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the IP65 rating on the GD4IP?
IP65 means the enclosure is fully sealed against dust and protected against low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for outdoor and wet-environment use.
How many DMX outputs does the GD4IP provide?
It splits one DMX input into four DMX outputs, each with a status LED.
What connectors does it use?
It uses Seetronic IP65 5-pin DMX connectors for input and output, and a top-mounted Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 connector for mains power.
What does the RDM Disable button do?
It strips RDM data from the signal and retimes the DMX output, which helps with fixtures that do not tolerate RDM packets.
How can the GD4IP be rigged?
It has an M12 threaded insert for standard clamp mounting and a built-in rail for attaching a secondary safety bond when flown.
What is the power draw?
The GD4IP draws a maximum of 7.0W and ships with a powerCON TRUE1 power cable.
