The ChamSys GeNetix GD4D is a DIN rail mountable RDM-capable 4-port DMX splitter built for permanent install environments. It uses Phoenix screw terminals for DMX IN, THRU, and OUT, making it well suited to hardwired control rooms and distribution panels. The unit is powered by an external 12-48V supply (sold separately) and includes an RDM Disable option that strips RDM data and retimes the DMX signal. Product Description

The GeNetix GD4D is a 4-port DMX splitter that distributes a single DMX universe to four electrically isolated, opto-buffered outputs, protecting the signal path and downstream fixtures. Terminal block wiring on DMX IN, THRU, and OUT lets integrators land bare conductors directly, which is the preferred termination method in fixed installations and avoids the connector strain of XLR patching. The GD4D is RDM E1.20 compliant, passing bidirectional RDM through the splitter for remote device discovery and configuration. When RDM is not required, the RDM Disable option removes RDM traffic and retimes the outgoing DMX, which can resolve timing issues with older or RDM-sensitive fixtures. A DMX THRU port allows the input to be passed to additional devices in the chain. The GD4D is powered by an external 12-48V supply, and when fed from a 48V supply it provides PoE output. Front-panel LEDs indicate external power, RDM enable state, and DMX input and output status, simplifying commissioning and fault-finding.
