The Cambridge Sound DS1390B (part number 911.0876.900) is a Dynasound sound masking and paging speaker supplied with a mounting bridge for ceiling plenum installation. Its dual, horizontally opposed drivers produce uniform 360-degree dispersion suited to reverberant underfloor cavities and shallow plenums. An internal 70-volt transformer ties it directly into distributed masking and paging lines.
Product Description
The DS1390 design places two performance-engineered drivers back to back with tuned ports, generating even sound energy in every direction rather than a single forward lobe. That dispersion pattern is what makes it effective in underfloor cavities as shallow as 1-3/4 inches and in tight ceiling plenums where conventional downward-firing masking speakers do not fit. The B-suffix model includes the mounting bridge, which adapts the speaker for ceiling plenum placement above tile grids. The internal 70-volt transformer allows long daisy-chained runs typical of distributed sound masking zones. ETL listing to UL1480 and CSA C22.2 60065 supports code-compliant commercial installation. It handles masking, paging, and background audio duties from the same enclosure. Pair it with Dynasound generators and plenum cabling from the Cambridge Sound collection at Creation Networks.
