Product Overview
The Cambridge Sound DS1390 (part number 911.0840.900) is a Dynasound sound masking and paging speaker with dual, horizontally opposed drivers. The opposed-driver design produces uniform 360-degree dispersion suited to reverberant underfloor cavities and shallow ceiling plenums. An internal 70-volt transformer connects it directly to distributed masking and paging lines.
Product Description
The DS1390 places two performance-engineered drivers back to back with tuned ports, generating even acoustic energy in every direction rather than a single forward lobe. That pattern is what allows it to work in floor cavities as shallow as 1-3/4 inches, where conventional downward-firing masking speakers do not fit. The internal 70-volt transformer supports the long daisy-chained runs typical of distributed sound masking zones, and the same enclosure handles paging signals. An optional mounting bridge adapts the speaker for ceiling plenums; specify the DS1390B when the bridge is required. ETL listing to UL1480 and CSA C22.2 60065 supports code-compliant commercial installation. Pair it with Dynasound generators and plenum cabling from the Cambridge Sound collection at Creation Networks.
