Product Description
Open return-air grills create acoustic leaks in a masked ceiling: sound passes through them with little resistance, producing hot spots and uneven masking levels near the openings. The DS2022 attenuator covers the return-air path and reduces the amount of sound transmitted directly through the grill, bringing those areas back in line with the rest of the masking field. It is sized for standard 2x2 suspended ceiling grid systems and designed for quick installation without modifying the HVAC return itself. Specifying DS2022 units at return-air locations during system design helps the commissioned masking spectrum stay uniform from zone to zone.
