Product Overview
The C2G CG54289 1-Port USB 2.0 over Cat6 Wall Plate to Box Extender extends USB 2.0 up to 150 feet from a single-gang wall plate transmitter to a compact box receiver over a single Cat6 cable. Designed for conference rooms and huddle spaces, this extender supports USB 2.0 peripherals including cameras, speakerphones, and control devices at distances well beyond the 16.4-foot native USB cable limit, with the wall plate providing a clean presenter connection point and the box receiver placing the USB port near the peripheral.
Product Description
The wall plate transmitter mounts in a standard single-gang electrical box and presents a USB Type-A port for the source device connection. The box receiver at the remote end provides a USB Type-A port for the peripheral. A single Cat6 cable runs between the two units. Bus power from the host powers the extension in most standard USB peripheral configurations, with no separate power supply required at the receiver in most installations.
