Product Overview
The C2G CG29338 USB 1.1 over Cat5 Superbooster Extender is engineered specifically for interactive whiteboard (IWB) compatibility, extending USB 1.1 signals up to 328 feet over a single Cat5 or Cat6 cable. One of the few USB extenders on the market tested and validated for compatibility with major interactive whiteboard models, this extender supports the USB connection required for IWB touch and stylus input from a host computer located beyond the 16.4-foot native USB limit. Commercial AV integrators specifying interactive whiteboard systems use this extender to position the host PC in a rack or closet while the whiteboard remains at the front of the classroom or conference room.
Product Description
The Superbooster uses integrated UTP power inserter technology to deliver power to the USB device at the remote end without a separate power supply in most configurations. No software drivers are required. The extender supports all USB 1.1 peripherals and is backwards compatible with USB 1.0 devices.
