The C2G CG29304 DisplayPort to HDMI over Cat5 Kit extends DisplayPort video from a source computer to an HDMI display up to 328 feet over a single Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6a cable using HDBaseT technology. Supporting Full HD 1920x1080 at 60Hz with HDCP, 3D, and EDID pass-through, this extender kit is designed for conference rooms, classrooms, and boardrooms where a DisplayPort-equipped PC must feed an HDMI display at distances beyond the native cable limit. A 5-foot DisplayPort cable connects the transmitter to the source; a single Cat cable runs the extension to the HDMI receiver at the display.
Product Description
The CG29304 uses HDBaseT signal transport to carry the converted HDMI signal from the DisplayPort source across structured Cat cable infrastructure. The transmitter accepts a DisplayPort input via the included 5ft DP cable, converts it to HDMI, and sends it over the Cat cable to the receiver. The receiver outputs HDMI directly to the display. EDID pass-through ensures the source negotiates the correct output resolution for the connected display.
Both transmitter and receiver are housed in metal enclosures and are CE certified. Power is supplied via the included 18V adapter. The 328ft extension distance at 1080p makes this kit suitable for large conference rooms, training rooms, and campus-style AV installations where DisplayPort sources must connect to existing HDMI display infrastructure.
