As a result of this reduced diameter, the cable surface area is smaller, which allows for increased air flow through the cable when compared to a Cat6 cable of similar diameter. A 28 AWG conductor allows this cable to have a smaller bend radius than a standard Cat6 cable, as a result of the smaller diameter conductors. Because of its small size and small bend radius, this cable is able to be routed through cable management panels with ease, due to its small size and small bend radius.
