The C2G C2G41489 200ft Performance Series High Speed HDMI Active Optical Cable (AOC) — Plenum-Rated delivers 4K 60Hz HDMI at 18Gbps over 200 feet of fiber strand cable with a CMP plenum jacket for direct above-ceiling and in-wall installation. This plenum HDMI AOC meets NEC fire code requirements for air-handling spaces, making it the correct specification for classrooms, conference centers, auditoriums, and healthcare facilities where both long-run HDMI performance and plenum cable compliance are required. Kevlar reinforcement and increased wire gauge provide the pull strength needed for conduit installation.
Product Description
The C2G41489 uses fiber strand construction to carry the HDMI 2.0 signal immune to EMI and RFI — a critical advantage in commercial buildings where HVAC motors, fluorescent lighting, and dense network cabling create interference that degrades copper HDMI cable performance at extended distances. The 200-foot plenum cable is source-powered from the HDMI port with no external supply required in most installations.

The cable is directional and factory terminated — the TX end connects to the source and the RX end to the display. It carries a lifetime warranty from C2G.

The C2G41489 is 200ft with a plenum (CMP) jacket. The C2G41490 is 250ft plenum-rated. The C2G41491 is 300ft with a standard non-plenum jacket. All three deliver 4K 60Hz at 18Gbps.
- Why is plenum rating required?
NEC and most local building codes require CMP-rated cable for installation in air-handling plenums such as above suspended ceilings. Non-plenum cable in these spaces is a fire code violation in most jurisdictions.
- Does this require an external power supply?
No. The cable is source-powered via the HDMI port. Some sources with limited HDMI power output may need a USB power injector, sold separately.
- Can it be cut or field-terminated?
No. AOC cables are factory terminated and cannot be cut or re-terminated.
