Product Overview
The BSS BLUCARD-IN is a four-channel analog input card for Soundweb London DSP chassis, providing balanced mic/line inputs with per-channel phantom power and software-controlled gain. It installs in any of the four I/O card slots on compatible Soundweb London processors, adding analog microphone and line-level inputs directly to the DSP without external preamp hardware. The BLUCARD-IN is compatible with BLU-800, BLU-805, BLU-806, BLU-320, BLU-325, BLU-326, BLU-160, BLU-120, BLU-80, BLU-32, and BLU-16 devices.
Product Description
The BSS BLUCARD-IN Analog Input Card slots into a Soundweb London chassis I/O bay and presents four balanced or unbalanced mic/line inputs via two Phoenix/Combicon connectors. Each connector handles two channels (channels 1–2 on Connector 1, channels 3–4 on Connector 2), and each channel supports per-channel selectable 48V phantom power for condenser microphones. Software-controlled analog gain from 0dB to 48dB in 6dB steps is configured through HiQnet London Architect, keeping all gain staging within the DSP design environment. The BLUCARD-IN is the standard method for adding microphone inputs to Soundweb London processors in commercial conferencing, installed sound, and broadcast applications. Multiple cards can populate the available slots of a single chassis to provide up to 16 analog inputs per device (combined with other card types as needed). The card is compatible with all major Soundweb London chassis variants, including BLU-800, BLU-805, BLU-806, BLU-320, BLU-325, BLU-326, BLU-160, BLU-120, BLU-80, BLU-32, and BLU-16. Complementary output capability is available with the BSS BLUCARD-OUT Analog Output Card.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many BLUCARD-IN cards can be installed in one chassis?
A: Up to four cards can occupy the I/O slots of a compatible chassis, providing up to 16 analog inputs in a single device. Slots can also be mixed with BLUCARD-OUT, BLUDIGITAL-IN/OUT, or Telephone Hybrid cards depending on system requirements.
Q: Does every channel need to have phantom power enabled?
A: No. Phantom power is selectable per channel in HiQnet London Architect. Channels connected to dynamic microphones or line-level sources should have phantom power disabled to avoid potential equipment damage.
Q: What connector type does the BLUCARD-IN use?
A: The card uses two Phoenix/Combicon removable screw-terminal connectors (MSTB 2.5/6-ST-5.08 or equivalent), with two channels per connector. Mating connectors are supplied with the Soundweb London chassis.
Q: Is this card compatible with the BLU-16?
A: Yes. The BLUCARD-IN is compatible with the BLU-16 as well as all other major Soundweb London chassis including BLU-800, BLU-805, BLU-806, BLU-320, BLU-325, BLU-326, BLU-160, BLU-120, BLU-80, and BLU-32.
Q: Can BLUCARD-IN and BLUCARD-OUT cards coexist in the same chassis?
A: Yes. The I/O card slots are independent, and any combination of analog input, analog output, digital input, digital output, and telephone hybrid cards can be mixed within the four slots of a single chassis.
Q: Is the BLUCARD-IN available from Creation Networks?
A: Yes. The BSS BLUCARD-IN (SKU: BSSBLUCARDIN-M) is available at creationnetworks.net. Contact us for project pricing or system design support.
