BrightSign XC4055-WIN11 – Quad 4K HDMI Windows 11 IoT Media Player is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Product Overview
The BrightSign XC4055 Windows 11 IoT player is a four-output, fanless media player for new multi-display signage, video wall and dashboard projects built on Windows 11. It combines an Intel Gen 11 Core i5 processor, 8GB of LPDDR4 memory, a 256GB SSD and an included Windows 11 IoT license. For integrators designing a new rollout, it is a Windows 11 IoT video wall player that replaces a desktop PC and graphics card with one commercial-grade unit.
Product Description
XC4055-WIN11 is the Windows 11 IoT build of BrightSign's quad-output XC5 player. It is intended for new deployments: a fresh Windows 11 image, newly selected signage software, or a first multi-screen installation where IT wants current Windows on every endpoint. BrightSign rates the XC4055 at twice the graphics power of the XC2055 and lists hardware decode of four 4K60p streams at 10-bit with HDR10 and HLG.
Four HDMI outputs (HDMI 1 at HDMI 2.1a, HDMI 2 to 4 at HDMI 2.0a) support tiled menu boards, 2x2 walls and multi-panel dashboards from a single player. The fanless chassis includes built-in wall mounting, a locking 19V / 4.7A power supply and a 14-day real-time clock, and the 256GB SSD is installed in the internal M.2 PCIe slot.
Under Windows, GPIO, USB-C, IR, serial and 3.5 mm analog/SPDIF audio are not supported, only the power LED is active, and BrightSign's free remote player management is not available on XC5 Windows players. If your design depends on contact closures, serial control or BrightSign management, specify the BrightSign XC4055 with BrightSignOS. For two-display locations, the BrightSign XC2055 offers the same platform with dual outputs. Explore the BrightSign collection or our digital signage products to complete the system.
Key Features
- Windows 11 IoT license included — The player ships licensed for Windows 11 IoT, so new rollouts start on a current Windows platform.
- Four HDMI outputs — One player drives four displays for 2x2 video walls, tiled menu boards and multi-panel dashboards.
- Intel Gen 11 Core i5 — BrightSign rates the XC4055 at twice the graphics power of the XC2055 for heavier multi-display Windows content.
- Quad 4K60p hardware decode — BrightSign lists hardware decode of four 4K60p streams at 10-bit with HDR10 and HLG.
- 256GB SSD installed — The NVMe SSD in the internal M.2 PCIe slot keeps content and application data on the player.
- Replaces a PC and graphics card — A single fanless multi-output player reduces the hardware hidden behind a video wall.
- Built-in wall mounting — Integrated mounting points make installation behind displays or in an AV rack area straightforward.
- Locking power connector — The 19V / 4.7A locking supply keeps the player powered in public spaces.
- 5-year warranty — BrightSign lists a 5-year parts and labor warranty for Series 5 players purchased from BrightSign after January 1, 2025.
Typical Applications
- Auditorium — Lobby video walls and multi-screen event signage on a new Windows 11 image.
- All-hands room — Four-panel dashboards and company communications from one player.
- Government space — New multi-display public information and wayfinding where IT requires current Windows builds.
- Commercial meeting space — Reception video walls and KPI dashboards for new office fit-outs.
- Broadcast studio — Multi-screen set backgrounds or monitoring dashboards driven by a Windows application.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose Windows 11 IoT over Windows 10 IoT?
XC4055-WIN11 fits new deployments, new Windows images and newly selected software. Choose the Windows 10 IoT version only when your application is validated on Windows 10 or you must match an existing Windows 10 fleet.
Can it run a 2x2 video wall?
The XC4055 has four HDMI outputs, so one player can feed a four-display layout. How content spans the screens depends on the Windows signage software you run; confirm multi-display support with your software vendor.
Which interfaces are unavailable under Windows?
GPIO, USB-C, IR, serial and 3.5 mm analog/SPDIF audio are not supported under Windows, and only the power LED is active. HDMI, USB-A and Gigabit Ethernet are available.
Is BrightSign's free remote management available?
No. BrightSign's free remote player management and controls are not available on XC5 Windows players. Plan for CMS-based or Windows device management.
What are the installation requirements?
The player is fanless, with built-in wall mounting and a locking 19V / 4.7A power supply. Keep it within the 0 to 40 °C operating range, especially inside video wall enclosures.
What warranty does BrightSign include?
BrightSign's datasheet lists a 5-year parts and labor warranty for Series 5 players purchased from BrightSign after January 1, 2025. Accessories are excluded.
