The Bogen PCMZPM Three-Zone Paging Module handles the zone-level audio distribution within a PCM2000 modular paging system, routing both paging announcements and background music to up to three independently controlled zones. Each module slots into the PCM2000 chassis alongside the PCMCPU central processor and operates as the audio output stage for its assigned zones. The PCMZPM is engineered to work with high-power paging systems — typical of large facilities using 70V amplifier networks — as well as low-power configurations common in smaller commercial spaces. This dual power compatibility eliminates the need to specify different modules based on amplifier type, simplifying procurement and inventory for AV integrators who work across varied installation environments. Adding a second or third PCMZPM to the same PCMCPU doubles or triples the available zone count, reaching nine zones per CPU without any additional control hardware. When a complete two-way paging capability is required, the PCMTBM talk back module can be added to the system alongside any number of PCMZPM modules. Background music distribution is handled zone-by-zone, allowing facilities to run different audio sources or silence specific areas independently of the paging function.
