The Ultimatte 12 8K is the flagship of the Ultimatte 12 line, delivering true photorealistic composites even in dark shadow areas or through transparent objects like windows. Its dedicated compositing architecture gives you separate inputs for foreground, background, background matte, garbage matte, holdout matte, layer, and layer matte — each available over 12G-SDI with loop outputs — so you can build complex composites in real time. With 32 SDI inputs and 20 reclocked loop outputs, you can dedicate an Ultimatte to each camera in a multi-camera shoot, tuning the key precisely to how each camera sees the green screen.

Multi-rate 12G-SDI supports SD, HD, Ultra HD, and 8K up to 4320p60, with auto-detection of single, dual, and quad-link formats. A built-in 5" color display with three menu buttons and a spin knob provides on-unit control, and the processor is controlled over Ethernet via Ultimatte Software Control (Mac/Windows) or the Ultimatte Smart Remote 4 hardware panel. A 6 GB non-volatile media pool stores background and layer stills, and dual internal power supplies provide redundancy in the 2 RU chassis.
