The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR is an advanced 8K monitoring solution with DisplayPort outputs, letting you use pro monitors like the Apple Pro Display XDR for on-set or post-production monitoring. Four 12G-SDI inputs handle 4K independently or gang together for a DCI 8K or 8K (quad-UHD) input, with output on SDI and DisplayPort. Built-in scopes, HDR support, dual 3D LUTs, and third-party probe calibration make it a precise SDI-to-DisplayPort 8K converter.
Product Description
The Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR accepts quad-link 12G-SDI (with loop outputs) up to DCI 8K60 and outputs to SDI plus DisplayPort — two full-size DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and one USB-C DisplayPort connector — so you can drive professional monitors directly. It supports HDR workflows including HLG and PQ as well as SDR, covers Rec. 2020 and Rec. 709 plus 100% of DCI-P3, and automatically converts between 2SI and square division. A built-in down-converter lets you view an 8K input on a UHD or HD monitor. The 2.2" color LCD provides confidence monitoring and can overlay up to two live scopes selectable from WFM, Parade, Vector, and Histogram, navigated via a rotating knob and six front-panel buttons. Two independent 10-bit 3D LUTs can be loaded and switched from the front panel, and connected displays can be calibrated with third-party USB probes such as the SpectraCal C6, X-Rite i1 Display Pro, or Klein K10-A. Rubber feet are included for desktop use, with the optional Teranex Mini Rack Shelf for rackmounting. Note that the USB-C DisplayPort output requires a certified DisplayPort-over-USB-C cable, which differs from a generic USB-C or Thunderbolt cable.
