The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to Analog 12G down-converts a 12G-SDI signal up to Full DCI 4K to analog, letting you connect high-resolution sources to component video equipment in HD or SD. Built on Teranex video processing, it adds switchable XLR audio outputs, a 12G-SDI loop output, Ethernet control with PoE, and an intelligent thermal design for rack, desktop, or cable-duct installation. It's a professional SDI-to-analog 12G converter for connecting modern sources to legacy gear.
Product Description
The Teranex Mini SDI to Analog 12G accepts a single 12G-SDI input (auto-switching SD/HD/2K/4K up to 4096x2160p) and outputs analog component SD/HD, NTSC, PAL, and S-Video, with HD down-conversion so high-resolution sources work with component equipment. A 12G-SDI loop output passes the signal on, and audio from the SDI stream can be output via full-size XLR connectors switchable between balanced analog (2-channel) and AES/EBU digital (4-channel), with the right XLR configurable for timecode output. A rear Ethernet port allows remote management or PoE power, and a built-in 90–240V supply means you only need a standard IEC cable (sold separately) if not using PoE. The standard front panel has mini switches for instant settings changes and can be swapped for the optional Smart Panel with a spin knob, color LCD, and six buttons to view the conversion, monitor audio, and verify timecode and video standard. Multiple units can be managed over Ethernet from Mac or Windows using the included Converter Utility, and a smart crossflow thermal design keeps units cool when rack-mounted side by side — up to three fit in an optional 1U 19" rack tray.
