Product Overview
The Blackmagic Design Studio Converter connects a Studio Camera 4K Plus or 4K Pro to your studio over a single 10G Ethernet cable. It powers the camera via PoE and breaks out all video, audio, and talkback connections, converting camera and program-return feeds to SDI. As a rack-mountable studio camera converter, it simplifies cable runs between the camera position and the machine room.
Product Description
The Studio Converter brings the benefits of SMPTE fiber-style connectivity at a lower cost by using a single 10G Ethernet cable to the camera. It carries video, audio, and talkback down that one cable and uses its built-in power supply to power the camera over PoE, so the camera doesn't need separate power at its position. At the rack end, the converter provides all the camera breakout connections and converts the camera and program-return feeds to SDI, letting you patch the camera into your studio by running just one Ethernet cable back to the machine room. A built-in LCD shows the camera image and status information. Two units fit side by side in a rack with the optional rack shelf to minimize rack space.
