The Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K Cinema Camera (EF Mount) is a customizable full-frame digital film camera that produces precise skin tones and rich, organic color. Built around a 36×24mm 6K sensor with a native resolution of 6048×4032, it records 12-bit Blackmagic RAW, supports a versatile modular rig design, and uses a Canon EF lens mount for a wide range of EF glass.
Product Description
The PYXIS 6K pairs a full-frame 36×24mm 6K sensor with a built-in optical low-pass filter designed to match the sensor, delivering 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO up to 25,600 for clean, low-noise images across bright sun or near-darkness. Two CFexpress media recorders capture footage, and the camera can record 12-bit Blackmagic RAW alongside small H.264 proxy files at the same time for fast offline workflows. Built-in Ethernet shares media to Blackmagic Cloud, and the modular body lets you build the rig your production needs. This is the EF-mount version; PL and L-mount versions are also available.
