The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter UpDownCross HD is a broadcast-quality standards converter that converts any SD or HD video format to any other SD or HD format via SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs. It also automatically scales computer resolutions to standard broadcast formats, making it useful for converting between SD and HD equipment and for connecting SDI gear to consumer HDMI devices like laptops and televisions.
Product Description
The Mini Converter UpDownCross HD performs up, down, and cross conversion between SD and HD formats up to 1080p60, using low-latency Teranex conversion algorithms for clean results. You set the output format you need and the input is automatically converted, which protects downstream equipment by always sending the correct video standard. It has one 3G/HD/SD-SDI input and one HDMI input, with two SDI outputs, an SDI loop-through, and an HDMI output, plus a reference input for black burst and tri-level sync. Because it scales and standards-converts whatever the HDMI source outputs, you never have to change a computer's display setting to feed professional SDI equipment. Settings are controlled by built-in DIP switches or over USB software, and a 12V universal power supply with international socket adapters is included.
