The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Analog to SDI accepts an HD/SD component, NTSC, PAL, or S-Video signal and converts it to an SDI output, with the option to embed audio from balanced AES/EBU or analog inputs. It's designed for bringing analog sources such as Betacam SP, VHS, set-top boxes, and HDV cameras into an SDI workflow.
Product Description
The Mini Converter Analog to SDI takes analog video — HD/SD component, composite (NTSC/PAL), or S-Video — across three BNC inputs and outputs SDI on two BNC connectors, switchable between SD, HD, and 3G-SDI. Audio can be embedded into the SDI output from two channels of balanced analog or two channels of AES/EBU digital via 1/4" jacks (the analog and digital audio inputs are shared). This makes it a straightforward way to digitize legacy analog equipment for modern SDI routing, capture, and monitoring. The unit is powered by an included 12V supply.
