The Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2 Mini is a low-profile four-channel 3G-SDI capture and playback card with four independent mini-BNC connections supporting all SD and HD formats up to 1080p60. Each connection works independently, giving the flexibility of four separate capture or playback cards in one, configurable for play-out systems, multi-screen digital signage servers, or real-time multi-channel capture. As a low-profile PCIe SDI I/O card for macOS, Windows, and Linux, it fits compact workstations and servers.
Product Description
The DeckLink Duo 2 Mini provides four bidirectional mini 3G-SDI connections on a low-profile PCIe 2.0 x4 card, each independently switchable between capture and playback so one card adapts to many roles. It supports 8/10-bit 4:2:2 in all modes up to 1080p60, and 12-bit 4:4:4 up to 1080p30 (4:4:4 in playback mode), with 16 channels of embedded 24-bit/48 kHz SDI audio. Built-in conversion handles SD up-conversion (4:3, 14:9, or 16:9 zoom), SD down-conversion (letterbox or anamorphic), and 720↔1080 cross-conversion on playback, plus hardware real-time color-space conversion across Rec. 601 and Rec. 709. A BNC reference input supports blackburst and tri-sync, and SDI metadata (RP 188/SMPTE 12M-2 timecode and closed captioning) is carried. Uncompressed capture is pixel-for-pixel identical to the source with no generational loss for sharper keying and cleaner composites, while ProRes, DNxHR/DNxHD, XDCAM, and more are supported for compressed workflows. It is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux, with drivers and utilities included.
