The Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro Mini is a low-profile 8K capture and playback card on an 8-lane PCIe Gen3 interface, with four bidirectional 12G-SDI Micro-BNC connectors. It handles everything from SD through DCI 8K (8192x4320) at up to 60 fps, in 8/10-bit YUV and 8/10/12-bit RGB with full Rec. 2020 color. As a low-profile 12G-SDI cinema capture card for macOS, Windows, and Linux, it suits high-resolution, high-frame-rate, and HDR post-production.
Product Description
The DeckLink 8K Pro Mini provides four independent multi-rate 12G-SDI Micro-BNC connections that work across SD, HD, UHD 4K, DCI 4K, 8K, and DCI 8K. The bidirectional links can be configured as quad-link 8K, single- or dual-link 4K/UHD, HD, or SD, and the card can capture and play back simultaneously. It supports high frame rates (UHD 4K and 2K to 120p), 12-bit RGB 4:4:4, and full Rec. 2020 color, with 16 channels of embedded audio per connection for 64 channels total. A reference input supports genlocked operation. Working uncompressed gives a mathematically perfect pixel-for-pixel clone of the source with no generational loss — for sharper green-screen keying, cleaner composites, and better color correction — while ProRes and DNxHD are supported for compressed workflows. As a low-profile PCIe capture and playback card it fits compact systems and is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus the included DaVinci Resolve, Media Express, Disk Speed Test, and Desktop Video software and a broad list of third-party NLE, effects, and live applications.
