The Blackmagic Design 2110 IP Mini BiDirect 12G SFP Converter performs bidirectional 12G-SDI to SMPTE ST-2110 IP conversion in a compact unit, using an SFP socket for optical-fiber modules to carry signals over long distances. It's built for live production, broadcast facilities, and post-production moving to IP, supporting UHD 4K over fiber with talkback and video monitoring to and from a Studio camera. It can be powered over PoE or 10G Ethernet.
Product Description
This mini converter bridges 12G-SDI and ST-2110 IP in both directions, with an SFP cage that takes an optical-fiber module for long-distance, low-latency transport. It supports UHD 4K video over the fiber link and multi-rate SDI from SD through 12G. Beyond video, it carries talkback and provides video monitoring to and from a connected Studio camera, and it can draw power over PoE or its 10G Ethernet connection. A Windows/macOS software utility handles configuration. The lightweight aluminum housing suits rack or field use. For a copper-Ethernet alternative, a separate non-SFP version is available.
