The Blackmagic Design 2110 IP Converter 8x12G SFP brings 12G-SDI broadcast gear up to SMPTE ST-2110 compliance over optical fiber. It provides eight bidirectional 12G-SDI conversion channels paired with eight ST-2110 SFP fiber ports, extending connectivity over long distances. The 1U rackmount unit supports resolutions up to UHD 4K, includes a 12G-SDI program return input, and has redundant power.
Product Description
This converter links eight pieces of 12G-SDI equipment to a SMPTE ST-2110 IP network using SFP optical fiber modules, with each of the eight channels converting bidirectionally between SDI and IP. Eight SFP sockets take 10 Gb/s ST-2110 IP fiber modules for long-distance runs, and a 12G-SDI program input plus loop output let a return feed be distributed alongside the converted channels. A 2.2" LCD and front-panel controls handle setup and monitoring, embedded audio travels over SDI and the IP network, and HDR is supported. Resolutions up to DCI/UHD 4K60 are supported, and dual IEC inputs provide redundant power. The 1U chassis fits a standard studio rack.
