Product Overview
The Blackmagic Design 2110 IP Converter 4x12G PWR brings 12G-SDI broadcast gear up to SMPTE ST-2110 compliance over copper Ethernet, with power delivery. It provides four bidirectional 12G-SDI conversion channels over 10G Ethernet and can power up to four Studio cameras over those same connections via PoE. The 1U rackmount unit supports resolutions up to UHD 4K, includes a 12G-SDI program return input, and has redundant power.
Product Description
This converter links 12G-SDI equipment to a SMPTE ST-2110 IP network using copper Cat-6 cabling, with four bidirectional channels each carrying a 12G-SDI signal over a 10G Ethernet connection. It's built to support up to four Blackmagic Studio cameras, supplying camera power over each 10G Ethernet link via PoE so a single cable handles video, control, tally, and power. A 12G-SDI program input and loop output distribute a return feed to the cameras, and a separate gigabit Ethernet port is available for management. A 2.2" LCD and front-panel controls handle setup, HDR is supported, and resolutions up to DCI/UHD 4K60 are supported. Dual IEC inputs provide redundant power, and the 1U chassis fits a standard studio rack.

FAQ
How is this different from the SFP version? This model uses copper RJ45 Ethernet and can deliver power (PoE) to cameras; the SFP version uses optical fiber for longer distances but doesn't power devices the same way.
Can it power cameras? Yes. It can power up to four Blackmagic Studio cameras over their 10G Ethernet connections via PoE.
How many cameras or devices does it support? Four, each on a bidirectional 12G-SDI channel, plus a program return feed.
Is the power redundant? Yes. It has two IEC mains inputs.
