The Cintel Scanner G3 HDR+ 8/16 scans both 8mm and 16mm film at up to 4K with the color fidelity and dynamic range needed for restoration and mastering. Its high-intensity RGB LED light source with HDR+ adds 3.5 stops of dynamic range to recover detail in highlights and shadows, while the precision capstan drive handles film gently with consistent frame stability. Scans transfer over Thunderbolt directly into DaVinci Resolve — a DaVinci Resolve Studio license is included — for grading and mastering, and both 8mm and 16mm gates are included. The unit measures roughly 36.2 x 8.6 x 15.8 in and weighs about 55 lb. Within the Cintel G3 HDR+ line, this model handles 8mm and 16mm formats, while a separate 35mm version covers larger-gauge film; both share the same RGB LED HDR+ light source, capstan drive, and 4K scanning.
