The Blackmagic Design Cintel Scanner G3 HDR+ is a complete solution for real-time film scanning and grading. It features precision mechanical film handling components, a high intensity diffuse light source, optics, and a built-in camera. The precision capstans handle film gently. The scanner includes a 35mm film gate, film spools, a set of four cleaning rollers, desk mount feet, and DaVinci Resolve Studio software. The scanner transfers film directly to DaVinci Resolve, which allows you to edit film rolls back together, grade and reframe scans, apply noise reduction, and extract audio. The ability to use DaVinci Resolve to operate the scanner ensures more creative control than possible with a hardware-only control solution.

The Cintel Scanner G3 HDR+ advances the art of film scanning with a completely redesigned light source that allows real-time HDR film scanning in Ultra HD 4K. This model also retains the renowned features of the earlier Cintel scanners, such as digital servos, gentle capstan drives, advanced color science, 35mm and 16mm film support, and an elegant design that can be used desktop or wall-mounted. The scanner's high-intensity light source and advanced color science allow for sharp, high-quality images from scanned film even when running at real-time speed. The RGB LED grid array illumination source is designed to work with an extremely sensitive imaging sensor and ensures your priceless film is never exposed to unnecessary thermal stress and color fading effects of traditional scanner lamps. Plus, the light source also provides an additional 3.5 stops of HDR. There's even a film inspection mode that allows you to see how the original film actually looks compared to the scans achieved with the Cintel's light source.

The G3 HDR+ features a 35mm skid plate and supports an optional 16mm gate for HDR scanning, allowing you to create high dynamic range digital masters with better color, more texture, and more detail. This makes it possible to meet the growing demand for 4K HDR content on streaming services. The combination of the scanner and DaVinci Resolve Studio gives you everything you need to scan, color correct, restore and master your film library for high dynamic range Ultra HD distribution. In addition to advanced color correction, Resolve also offers Revival tools for automatic dirt removal, dust busting, deflickering, spot patch repair with smart fill technology, and advanced temporal and spatial noise reduction.

Designed to hang on your wall, the Cintel Scanner is constructed using aircraft design techniques for a stiff and vibration-free main deck so that you get smooth film handling. The core chassis is a rigid structural space frame, which results in a dramatically lighter and more durable body than older simplistic heavy plate designs. This means the Cintel Scanner is light enough to be wall mounted in your facility. Slim and wall-mounted, it's out of your way until you need to use it.
