Next-Generation 17K Sensor

The new 65mm RGBW sensor captures pristine images from 4K up to an unmatched 17K resolution. With equal red, green, and blue pixel architecture, the URSA Cine 17K delivers accurate, vibrant color at every resolution. The expanded 16 stops of dynamic range give filmmakers exceptional flexibility in post.

Storage and Workflow

Every URSA Cine 17K includes an 8TB Blackmagic Media Module, delivering up to 4 hours of full 65mm 17K RAW or 20 hours of 4K recording. For multi-camera workflows, the Blackmagic Media Dock enables high-speed access to multiple media modules simultaneously. Optional CFexpress media support is also available.

Built-In Cloud Collaboration

Thanks to integrated Cloud Store technology, footage can be recorded in high resolution while simultaneously generating H.264 proxies for instant upload to Blackmagic Cloud. Editors and colorists can access footage in real time, even as it’s being shot.

Lens Flexibility

Switch between PL, LPL, EF, or Hasselblad mounts with ease. Lens metadata is captured in-camera, streamlining monitoring and post-production tasks.

Integrated OLPF & ND Filters

The precision-matched optical low-pass filter enhances image fidelity while updated IR filtering improves far-red color response. Built-in 2, 4, and 6-stop ND filters maintain color accuracy while controlling exposure in bright environments.

Professional Monitoring

Dual 5" HDR touchscreens, an external status LCD, and a dedicated focus puller mode make on-set operation efficient. Optional URSA Cine EVF support provides accurate viewing in outdoor or handheld scenarios.

Connectivity & Control

From Bluetooth remote operation to 7-pin LEMO and 3-pin Fischer accessory ports, the URSA Cine 17K is designed for flexibility. It supports 24V and 12V power, includes a B-mount battery plate, and ships in a rugged Pelican case with essential accessories.

With built-in streaming hardware, broadcast directly via RTMP or SRT over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or mobile data—ideal for live events and remote production.
