The Blackmagic Design PYXIS 12K EF pairs Blackmagic's large-format 12K sensor with a Canon EF lens mount, giving access to a vast range of EF photo and cinema glass. It captures 98.8 megapixel images (12288×8040) at 16 stops of dynamic range in a compact, modular cube-style body, recording Blackmagic RAW and ProRes for high-end feature films, commercials, VFX, and streaming productions.
Product Description
This EF version of the PYXIS 12K is built around a 35.64×23.32mm large-format CMOS sensor with an effective 98.8 megapixels and a built-in optical low-pass filter matched to the sensor. It records Blackmagic RAW up to 12K 3:2 open gate to dual CFexpress Type B cards or external USB-C drives, with a wide range of resolution and frame rate modes up to 112 fps. The EF mount supports lens communication, and the compact cube body uses switchable side plates with extensive 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and M4 mounting points for flexible rigging. A fixed 4" 1080 HDR touchscreen, 12G-SDI output, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C control/data and viewfinder ports, Bluetooth control, and mini-XLR / 3.5mm audio round out the connectivity. The PYXIS 12K is also available in PL and LPL mounts.
