Product Overview
The Blackmagic Design Streaming Encoder HD is a self-contained hardware encoder that streams H.264 or H.265 over SRT or RTMP to a wide range of live platforms. It takes a 12G-SDI input up to UHD 4K60 and streams 1080p up to 60 fps, connecting over Gigabit Ethernet or tethering to a 4G/5G phone over USB-C. A built-in LCD, six front-panel buttons, and a spin knob give direct tactile control.
Product Description
This compact 1U encoder streams H.264 or H.265 via SRT or RTMP with direct support for services and software including Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, Vimeo, Restream.IO, BoxCast, Castr, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, OBS Studio, VLC, Wirecast, and Wowza. It streams over its built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet port or tethers via USB-C to a high-speed 4G or 5G phone. The 12G-SDI input accepts resolutions up to UHD 4K60, with a 3G-SDI loop output plus SDI and HDMI monitor outputs. A 2.2" LCD shows video, audio, status, and menus, the rear USB-C can connect the unit as a webcam to a computer, and front-panel buttons and a spin knob provide hands-on control. It can be powered from mains (IEC) or a 12V DC 4-pin XLR source.
