The ATEM Television Studio HD8 combines switcher and control panel in one unit, giving you eight 3G-SDI inputs, program and two aux outputs, professional camera control, talkback, and audio mixing. All eight inputs are standards-converted, so cameras running at different video standards re-sync to the switcher automatically for trouble-free setup on location. A built-in hardware streaming engine sends H.264/AAC live streams, and you can record to USB disks or an optional internal M.2 drive, with network storage allowing editing while recording.

The front panel uses the same high-end buttons found on expensive broadcast switchers, with a T-bar for manual transitions and a dedicated audio mixer area with live LCD metering. Creative tools include four Advanced Chroma Keyers for green-screen and virtual sets, two downstream keyers, a SuperSource multi-layer processor, an independent DVE for picture-in-picture, two media players, and a full range of SMPTE wipes and transitions. The USB connection emulates a webcam for full compatibility with Zoom, Teams, and streaming software, and Blackmagic Cloud integration makes recordings available remotely. Because it shares the same feature set as high-end broadcast switchers, it's also an excellent training platform.
