Product Overview
The Blackmagic Design ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K is a massive 4 M/E Ultra HD live production switcher with 40 standards-converted 12G-SDI inputs, 24 12G-SDI aux outputs, 16 ATEM Advanced Keyers, four multiviews, and two SuperSource processors for a total of 12 DVEs. It's the flagship of the Constellation line, built for the largest multi-camera live events.
Product Description
The 4 M/E Constellation 4K delivers broadcast power on a huge scale: 40 independent 12G-SDI inputs, each with its own up/cross converter so any source format re-syncs automatically, and 24 fully independent SDI outputs that can route any input or internal source for stage screens, master recorders, streaming processors, or ISO recording with matching timecode. It includes 16 ATEM Advanced Keyers (4 per M/E row for virtual sets), two SuperSource processors, media players, and four independent multiviews supporting up to 64 views across four monitors.
The built-in Fairlight audio mixer handles up to 156 input channels — the largest in any live production switcher — with 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, expander, and noise gate per channel, plus dual MADI outputs and a MADI input for handing audio to an external engineer. The compact rack-mount chassis includes a front control panel with LCD for walk-up operation, RS-422 serial control, and professional talkback over 5-pin XLR plus RJ12 for ClearCom/RTS systems. ATEM Constellation uses broadcast-standard program/preview switching, and the free ATEM Software Control is included — add a 4 M/E ATEM Advanced Panel or ATEM Camera Control Panel for full hardware control. The USB-C connection also works as a webcam source for streaming software.
