The Biamp TesiraCONNECT TC-5D is a 5-port AVB-capable PoE+ network device that bridges AVB and Dante media networks in Tesira systems. As a room connection device and media bridge for conference rooms and combinable rooms, it simplifies integration of Dante and AVB devices in boardrooms and meeting spaces.
Product Description
The TesiraCONNECT TC-5D is a 5-port AVB-capable PoE+ network device that can be configured as a Dante or AVB interface to a Tesira system. While it retains all the features of the original TesiraCONNECT, the TC-5D also provides the ability to bridge AVB and Dante media networks, enabling easy integration of Dante devices into a Tesira AVB-only system, or Tesira AVB devices into a Tesira Dante-only system. In Tesira software it appears as an infrastructure device; as a network switch it works out of the box, and as a media bridge it is included in the Tesira layout and assigned a Unit ID. It is primarily intended for limited-scope systems such as conference rooms and combinable rooms, with up to four TC-5 and/or TC-5D devices per media network cluster.
