Product Overview
The Biamp Tesira EX-USB is a PoE-powered AVB/USB expander that transports USB digital audio reliably across a customer's network, beyond the 5-meter limit of a standard USB connection. It supports up to eight channels of input and eight channels of output, enabled and configured through Tesira software. The EX-USB is well suited to installations needing USB audio away from the rack, multiple USB audio inputs, or projects using Tesira SERVER or SERVER-IO, which have no on-board USB. It is Microsoft Teams and Zoom certified and Cisco Verified.
Product Description
Because USB audio is carried over the network, the EX-USB removes the cable-length constraint of direct USB connections and is ideal for conference rooms and multi-purpose spaces. It is powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3at Class 2, 7W) and provides an LED indicator for power and device status. The expander supports 8 x 8 channels of configurable USB audio at a 48 kHz sample rate with 16-bit or 24-bit depth, and connects to the network via RJ-45 using Cat 5e or better cabling. The EX-USB is also compliant with the United States Trade Agreement Act (TAA), allowing inclusion in GSA Schedule sales bids for the U.S. federal government.
