The Biamp Tesira AVB-1 is a modular digital audio networking card for use with Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO devices. It allows a Tesira system to send and receive digital audio over an Ethernet network using AVB-enabled switches. This makes it a strong fit as an AVB networking card, a Tesira audio transport card, and a digital audio interconnect card. AVB/TSN is an open standard protocol compliant with IEEE standards.
Product Description
The AVB-1 enables up to 420 x 420 channels of interconnectivity over AVB from any other compliant device, and Tesira uses AVB/TSN as the interconnect between server devices and remote expander devices. The card is IEEE standards based, supporting 802.1AS, 802.1Q, 1722, and 1722.1. Explicit AVB input and output blocks are provided in Tesira software for straightforward signal routing. Dual RJ-45 connections support primary and secondary redundant networks. The AVB-1 can be installed in conjunction with DAN-1 and SCM-1 cards, and system configuration and control are handled via Ethernet. The card is RoHS compliant and AES grounded, and is covered by Biamp Systems' five-year warranty.
