Product Overview
The Biamp Desono P6 is a two-way passive coaxial pendant loudspeaker sold as a pair, intended for full-range music reproduction in distributed audio applications. With a traditional raindrop profile, it delivers high intelligibility and wide coverage so designers can use fewer speakers. This makes it a strong fit as a pendant loudspeaker, an indoor/outdoor distributed audio speaker, and a 70V/100V hanging loudspeaker. The enclosure is available in Black finish.
Product Description
The P6 delivers high intelligibility coupled with a wide coverage area, allowing system designers to maintain superior speech intelligibility with fewer speakers. It uses a 6-position switchable transformer ranging from 1.875W to 60W with low-impedance bypass for 70V/100V operation, making it well suited to large background-music areas. Designed with the installer in mind, the P6 comes pre-terminated with Magic Cable, a composite cable comprising two aircraft cables, two separately jacketed audio conductors, and two ripcords. A bridge-mounted 1-inch soft dome tweeter and a 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer, mechanically isolated from the high frequency driver, complete the design. The P6 is designed for outdoor splash applications such as patios or concourses and suits indoor and outdoor distributed audio that demands speech intelligibility and full-range music. It is ETL listed to comply with UL 1480A, certified to CSA C22.2#62368-1, and the cable is listed to UL 13 for Class 3 indoor/outdoor use.
