The Biamp Desono DX-IC8-W is an 8-inch high-output coaxial in-ceiling loudspeaker, sold as a pair in a white finish. It is engineered for foreground music, high-level paging, and augmentation of large music systems as a delay or fill speaker. A genuine coaxial design with separate LF and HF magnets gives it reduced distortion and high sensitivity. It is ideal for high-ceiling applications.
Product Description
The DX-IC8-W exceeds the performance of competing high-ceiling models, with industry-leading sensitivity that permits 3 dB to 6 dB greater output while requiring half the amplification power of competing products. Its HF compression driver provides consistent, wide dispersion up to 16 kHz, and uniform voicing across the Desono DX family makes it an easy match for other models. SpringLock mounting clamps allow fast installation, and an attractive edgeless magnetic grille keeps the appearance clean. Conduit knock-outs on the input cover meet plenum air-space handling requirements. The loudspeaker uses a built-in autoformer for 8-ohm or 70V/100V operation.
